AI counsel · Tribal governments

Your nation's AI decisions belong in the council chamber, not a vendor's sales deck.

AI is arriving at tribal governments through vendors who don't answer to your membership. We're the human bridge that keeps the decision sovereign, the data in your hands, and the technology serving the nation, built so it answers to you.

Why this is different

A tribe is not a company.

Your data and your decisions carry trust-responsibility and sovereignty weight that no generic AI consultant is built to protect. Every consumer AI tool and cloud contract silently claims rights to ingest, retain, and train on what it touches. A reseller pitching an "AI solution" is paid on the sale, not on whether your nation stays in control afterward.

We take no commissions and sell no software. We read the terms, translate sovereignty into language a contract can enforce, and keep the decision where it belongs: with leadership, accountable to the community, not to an outside vendor's quota. Two decades on the ground with tribal governments, and the judgment doesn't change with the technology.

Where we help

The decisions tribal leadership is facing right now.

Proof

We've done this on the ground, not from a slide deck.

Purchase-request and fund-coding systems, equipment and asset registries, federally funded device programs, enrollment-adjacent data work: real technology stood up for tribal governments and their programs. We serve tribal nations across Arizona, home to 22 federally recognized nations, from the high country of the north to the river communities of the southwest. Tribal and federal work is anonymized by default; we speak to the work and share references privately, never a public roster.

Questions leadership is asking

Answers before the vendor gets in the room.

Will an AI tool train on our tribal data?+

Most consumer AI and cloud terms claim the right to ingest, retain, and train on what they touch. We read the terms before you sign and negotiate data-use, retention, and downstream-sharing so tribal data stays under the nation's control. This is the heart of tribal data sovereignty in the age of AI.

Do we need a data sovereignty policy before we adopt AI?+

In practice, yes. The CARE Principles and OCAP have no default expression in a commercial AI contract. We translate sovereignty principles into enforceable data-use, retention, and right-to-refuse terms before any AI system or data-center agreement is signed.

Can we use AI on federally funded programs like CPF, ARPA, IHS, or BIA awards?+

Yes, carefully. Restricted grant and beneficiary data must not flow into public models, and the audit trail has to stay human-reviewed. We stand up program technology for federal funds and grants that uses AI to speed reporting and coding while keeping the award defensible.

How is this different from a regular IT consultant or an AI vendor?+

We take no commissions and sell no software. We sit on the nation's side of the table and keep leadership in command of the decision, so the recommendation answers to your council, not a reseller's quota.

Do you name your tribal clients?+

No. Tribal and federal work is anonymized by default. We can speak to the work and provide references privately, never a public client roster.

Human-first by design

AI is the tool. People are the point.

I use AI to make good people faster, sharper, and harder to beat, never to replace them. Better, faster, stronger: the goal is a business that grows and hires more humans, not fewer.
